In November 2022, President Xi Jinping paid a friendly visit to Thailand during the APEC meeting in Bangkok, and reached a consensus with the Thai side on building a China- Thailand community with a shared future. China and Thailand have achieved remarkable results in trade, investment and industrial cooperation. In 2023, bilateral trade reached US$126 billion, and China is the largest source of foreign investment in Thailand. The interconnection of the China-Thailand high-speed railway and the China-Laos railway has further promoted the economic integration of the two countries. As the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand approaches in 2024, the two sides will continue to deepen the friendship of “China and Thailand are one family” and create a prosperous future together.
